1. About CRESA
CRESA (Credit Resolution Experts of South Africa) is an online platform that gives South African consumers a voice to share experiences with debt collectors, debt counsellors, and banks. CRESA also provides a directory of registered credit resolution experts, a remote jobs board for the financial services sector, community voting on industry regulations, and AI-assisted formal complaint letter generation.
2. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using CRESA you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable South African laws. If you do not agree you may not use the platform.
3. User accounts
You must register an account to submit experiences, generate complaint letters, or apply for jobs. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password. You must provide accurate information at registration. Accounts found to contain false information may be suspended or deleted.
4. Submitting experiences
When you submit a complaint or compliment you confirm that your submission is truthful and based on your genuine personal experience. You may not submit false, defamatory, or fabricated content about any company or individual. CRESA reserves the right to hide, review, or remove any submission that violates these terms. All submissions are published publicly unless hidden by admin for review. By submitting you grant CRESA a non-exclusive licence to display your submission on the platform.
5. AI-generated complaint letters
CRESA uses artificial intelligence to generate formal complaint letters based on information you provide. The generated letter is for your personal use only. CRESA does not provide legal advice. The letter is not a substitute for advice from a qualified attorney. CRESA does not guarantee any outcome from submitting a generated letter to a regulator or company. The fee for generating and downloading a complaint letter is R59 per letter, payable via EFT. The letter is unlocked once payment is verified by our team.
6. Payment terms
All payments on CRESA are processed via manual EFT. You must use the unique reference number provided with your order. Proof of payment must be uploaded within 48 hours of generating your order. CRESA will verify payment and unlock your content within one business day of receiving valid proof of payment. CRESA reserves the right to cancel unverified orders after 48 hours.
7. Refunds
Please refer to our Refund Policy for full details on refunds for complaint letter generation, expert listings, job posts, and advertising.
8. Expert directory listings
Credit resolution experts who register on CRESA must hold a valid NCR registration number. CRESA reserves the right to verify your registration and suspend your listing if it cannot be confirmed. Listing fees are charged monthly at the rate corresponding to your selected tier. Your profile goes live only after payment is verified and admin approval is granted. CRESA does not guarantee any minimum number of enquiries or clients from your listing.
9. Business response accounts
Companies that register to respond to complaints on CRESA may not include phone numbers, email addresses, website URLs, or any solicitation to contact them outside the platform in their responses. Responses must address the specific complaint directly. Violations will result in the response being removed and the account being suspended without refund.
10. Banner advertising
Banner advertising on CRESA is available to NCR-registered credit resolution companies only. CRESA reserves the right to reject any advertisement that does not meet our content standards. Approved ads are displayed for the booked duration only. No refunds are issued for ads that are rejected after payment is received if the rejection is due to content that violates our advertising standards.
11. Jobs board
All jobs posted on CRESA must be genuine remote positions in the South African credit and debt sector. Fraudulent job posts will be removed and the poster's account suspended. Job seeker profiles must represent the genuine experience and qualifications of a real individual. CRESA is not responsible for the outcome of any application or hiring process.
12. Prohibited conduct
You may not use CRESA to post false or misleading information, harass or defame any individual or company, attempt to manipulate company ratings or poll results, advertise services not permitted under these terms, scrape or copy platform content for commercial use, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform.
13. Content moderation
CRESA reserves the right to hide, edit, or remove any content that violates these terms, contains personal identification numbers or sensitive personal information of third parties, is defamatory or contains unverifiable claims, or is submitted in bad faith. All moderation actions are logged with a reason. Hidden content may be restored if the consumer demonstrates the submission is truthful.
14. Limitation of liability
CRESA is a platform for consumer voices and does not verify the accuracy of submissions. CRESA is not liable for any loss or damage arising from reliance on content published on the platform. CRESA is not a party to any dispute between a consumer and a company.
15. Governing law

16. Changes to these terms
CRESA may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
